Sins of My Father
This work marks the death of my father in 2019. He and my mother divorced when I was three, and for most of my life my experience of him was when my sisters and I would visit and he would have golf playing endlessly on the television. He also had photographs of his favorite courses on the walls of his apartment. He was a violent man, especially with regards to women in his life, this continued to shortly before his death. I encourage people to imagine laying down in the bed and move between the subtle sound of the golf tournament to the other world inside of the falling water that surrounds the bed. The tournament is inaudible over the sound of the water, offering a refuge though the mirror ball allows only a fragmented reflection of the person you are.
